There is a small village, Kokofrom just outside Kumasi, Ghana where there are artisans who make lost wax brass beads in the same way as their ancestors. I asked them to create some closures for Funky Frog and this was the most exotic one! Each half of the closure is about 35mm. The closures are hand made so will vary in size and shape. The artisans use whatever scrap metal they can get their hands on form old taps to pipes to .. but they call it 'brass'.
