Fiesta Necklace #17
The first Fiesta Necklace was made while on a bead trip with Ruth Shine to Mexico. (if you want to read more…) This is a country that loves colour and has an amazing style. Ruth took us to a workshop with Anado McLauchlin who taught us how to mix and match beads in a wonderfully flagrant way, big and small, all shapes, all colours. He helped me find my Funky Frog style of necklaces. That first necklace was like this one; with three strands, strung on beading wire with a metal closure 25″long and so colourful. There is a mix of wooden beads, brass beads and gorgeous old trade beads.
