These beads are gorgeous and very light weight. There are 3 sizes in this Olive Wood Bead. This is the medium size. The small beads are here. There are also larger and a bit lighter brown Olive Beads here .... these are not made up in the rosary. -
Beautiful Olive Wood Prayers Beads .... found in the Koforidua Market in Ghana, W.Africa. There are two shapes to choose from. The round wood beads comes in sets of 12 or 40 beads. The long beads come in sets of 12. These beads are gorgeous and very light weight. There are 3 sizes in this Olive Wood Bead. This is the largest size. Desiree designs, glazes and fires the beads in her pottery studio. These colourful beads captured my heart and are amongst the few beads i don't actually go and buy (though it is definitely on my bucket list!) Funky Frog has over the years gathered quite a collection. With Desiree's blessing Funky Frog is offering some of these beads. This way i can destash a bit so i can buy more!!! Always more!! Each bead is about 9 mm wide x 4 mm top to bottom and the hole is about 2mm ... these are handmade so will vary slightly in size and shape. Brass Heart Pendants .... some were found in Ghana's beads markets and some were made for Funky Frog by the Kokofrom gang near Kumasi in Ghana. These hearts are handmade and you will not find two that are exactly the same even though they could be the same design! The heart is a symbol that needs no research or explanation ... :) Ghana is famous for Lost Wax Brass beads.... The process these metal smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!!
