The design on some these beads resemble eyes and eye beads were used to ward off evil spirits and when worn would protect the wearer from harm. The bead is a bottle glass. These beads are handmade so will vary in size and colour. Each bead is about 12x14mm. You will receive a strand similar to one of the strands in the photo. This is a way for you to get a variety for your beading. If you would like a strand all the same colour please do not hesitate to contact us. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven.
