Handpainted Recycled Glass Beads
A strand of about 27 mixed hand painted Recycled Glass Beads strung on raffia 24″ long. These beads are various sizes with different designs. First glass is crushed to a white dust, then poured in moulds and cooked in wood ovens… Finally these beads are threaded on to long sticks like the ones we use for vegetable kababs… and each bead is painstakingly hand painted!! There is a blog about how recycled beads are made with great photos of each of the steps . Check it out here … How are Recycled Glass Beads Made?? ….
Ghana is famous for these beads.
