A Purple Recycled Glass Bodom bead with a white stripe in the middle. The bead is about 22 mm x 21 mm in diameter. Purple is a very complex colour. There are so many variations. It is said purple symbolizes magic, mystery, spirituality, the sub-conscious, creativity, dignity, royalty – and it does evoke all of these meanings more so than any other color. Further variations of purple can convey different meanings. For instance light purples are light-hearted, floral, and romantic. The dark shades are more intellectual and dignified. You either love purple or you don’t. It was the one colour most people asked for before the 2020 Bead Hunt!! -

A strand of 6 hand painted Recycled Glass Beads. These beads are sometimes called bottle glass beads and once made are painted by hand. The design on some these beads resemble eyes and eye beads were used to ward off evil spirits and when worn would protect the wearer from harm. The bead is a bottle glass. These beads are handmade so will vary in size and colour. Each bead is about 12x14mm. You will receive a strand similar to one of the strands in the photo. This is a way for you to get a variety for your beading. If you would like a strand all the same colour please do not hesitate to contact us. And also remember for most of the strands we will be happy to break them up if you would like to have only a few. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven. Gorgeous Ebony wood beads. Each large oblong bead is about 41x12 mm and the small ones are about 31x9 mm. These beads are a mix of dark ebony and various hues of amber. They make a real statement as a necklace strung togehter.. The trader in the Koforidua Market who sold these to me said they were "African Amber". A lot of beads are put under the name 'African Amber' but by any name they are gorgeous and add a certain something .... These beads are $3 each -
