"Elephants are highly intelligent animals with complex emotions, feelings, compassion and self-awareness (elephants are one of very few species to recognize themselves in a mirror!). The gestation period of an elephant is 22 months. That's almost 2 years, the longest pregnancy of any mammal! And they are the largest land animal on earth!"   • Due to popular demand we had these Filligree Birds handmade by the Kokofrom Gang in Kumasi so we could have them back in stock. The birds are quite quirky and have a naive quality. The process these metal smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!!   • Red Tube Glass Beads with the hole in the middle of tube so has an irregular shape. These beads were found in the Koforidua Market in Ghana, W. Africa. Not sure of their origins. The beads are about 4x7 mm strung on raffia 23" long.    
  • A strand of 70 Cameroon Copper Bicone Beads about 10 mm strung on raffia about 24" long. These beads are handcrafted so will vary in size, shape and colour.
