  • A very delicate large dark Wooden Pendant with a smaller Pendant inside handmade in Togo, West Africa. I found these pendants in the amazing Suntrade Bead Store in Accra, W. Africa. The hole is at the thick end going side to side all the way through the two pendants. The large pendant is about 5 x 1 3/4" with the smaller inset pendant being about 3 1/2 x 1". $18/2 pendants

If you would like to see the intricate process check out the blog here … While there we browsed and some fun beads and pendants already made that we found beautiful, caught our eye. This Elephant Pendant is part of that batch. Since i had actually seen elephants during this 2016 Bead Hunt i was especially partial ! The elephant is about 3 1/4 " (not including his trunk) His curled tail is the eyelet for that leather or cord to make it into a super necklace...

This Circles Pendant is part of that batch. adin_medIt is a circle 1 3/4" in diameter with an embossed Adinkra Symbol, Circles or 'Adinkrahene' . This is considered the  'Chief of the adinkra symbols' as a symbol of greatness, charisma and leadership. It signifies the importance of playing a leadership role. And this pendant has 5 of these circles embossed on a circle...

These Adinkra Pendants are part of that batch. These Pendants are similar to the Adinkra Symbols you would find on fabric.... "Adinkra are visual symbols, originally created by the Ashanti of Ghana and the Gyaman of Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa. They represent concepts or aphorisms, and are extensively used in fabrics, pottery, logos and jewelry. The symbols have a decorative function but also represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages that convey traditional wisdom, aspects of life or the environment."

These beautifully decorative Large Circle Pendants were designed and made especially for Funky Frog . The Circle is  is about 3.5" more or less. "The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, Oneness, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement, God ('God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere' (Hermes Trismegistus))."
