Vintage Authentic British West African Coin with a center hole. Used throughout West Africa from British Cameroons to the British Gold Coast. Well worn and patinated coins dating from the 30's and up. Used as currency in the colonial period. Left with the old patina. This Star Pendant is part of that batch. The star has a jaunty air and is 1 3/4" x 1 1/4". The star as a symbol is 'guardianship' . And this star looks like it would take on anything! :) -

The Hexagon is about 55 mm (including loop) The artisans use whatever scrap metal they can get their hands on form old taps to pipes to .. but they call it 'brass'. Did you know the hexagon is the most efficient, least wasteful shape found in nature. ...
