Again the photos don't do justice to the almost etheral quality of these beads - a very soft hue. This dusty rose is one of three pinks in the Pastel line. There is another pink which is the same hue but paler. This is a blushing watermelon pink whereas the other is more a pale beauty. The third pink is blush pink. There are 5 sizes in the Pastel Line. A strand of about 50 round opaque Cherry Red Recycled Glass Beads which are strung on string 21" long. The beads are about 10 mm. The beads are all handcrafted so will vary in colour, size and shape. The strand you will received will be similar to the photo but may have variations. These beads are not completely transparent as they have a denseness that still let the light shine through. They remind me of ripe watermelon! There is a smaller version of this bead here. These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the powder into clay molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a wood burning earthen oven. These Robin's Egg Blue with Brownish Speckles Recycled Glass Beads were found in one of Ghana's Bead Markets. The beads are about 12 mm and are size 3. There are about 53 beads strung on string 22" long.
