A strand of 29 Soft Grey tubular shaped Recycled Glass beads strung on string 24". The beads have a smooth polished finish and are a 9 x 20" tubular shape. These beads are designed by an innovative designer, Tet who has a cottage industry making beads by hand just outside Accra. It is always a pleasure to go and check out what he has made. A strand of 6 grey with white Sun designs Clay Spindle beads from Mali. The beads are 28 mm in diameter. You will receive 6 beads as shown in the photo. Please note that these beads were handmade so each bead varies. In the second photo the big brother is shown :) ... My affection for these beads grew when I heard that these 'Spindles' actually evolved into the beads they are today because of our avid collectioner's heart (all Beaders have one of those!) Originally these Spindles were actually made to spin cotton but then people started collecting them because they were so beautiful. They became rare .. so some enterprising people started making new ones but more as the beads they are today... They are so beautiful and evoke the country, Africa just by handling them and by the fact they are made of Africa's earth. -

Three very special beads ... Two are curved long tubes with tribal designs and the third is one of the large beads .. you can choose or we will surprise you! The tube beads are 38 x 15 mm. A strand of about 27 tube shaped Recycled Glass Beads on string 24" long. There is a range of colours, textures, colours and shapes! You will receive a strand similar to the one in the photo with some variations. Ghana is famous for these recycled beads made from recycled glass bottles. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens. Please note the strand you will receive will be similar to the strand in the photo. There will be variations as the strand is hand strung and handmade. -
A strand of about 66 translucent soft grey Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 18" long. These beads are about 6mm. The beads are unpolished and natural. Photos don’t do these beads justice as they are translucent so it seems somehow the camera can’t quite catch them! They are handmade so colour, size and shape vary. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven. These small beads are the hardest to make as the smaller the bead is the easier it is to break. -

These Recycled Glass Beads are a beautiful set of mix and match beads.
