During a Bead Hunt Funky Frog made a big order from the Kokofrom Cooperative outside Kumasi. These round brass beads were made especially for Funky Frog . The process these metal smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!! If you would like to see the intricate process check out the blog here ... These brass beads are about 13 mm and the hole is about 2-3mm. This is a mixture of three designs, two are cross hatches and the third is more solid with a circular design. You will get a mix like in the photo. $5/6 beads -

A Rectangular Recycled Glass Bead that is polished and has a smooth, velvety texture. Ghana is famous for these recycled beads made from recycled glass bottles. The upscaled recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens. The Bead Designer of these beads creates beautiful, very contemporary recycled glass beads. The beads have brown flecks giving the beads an earthy, organic look. This set includes teal, light blue, green and yellow rectangular recycled glass beads. There is another set which includes white, blue and red rectangular recycled glass beads. -
