About 82 White Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 22" long. These beads are size 2 (8 mm). These beads are handmade for Funky Frog by the innovative Tet Beads so will vary in shape, colour and size within the strand. These beads have a lovely earthy look and feel. These beads come in an assorted range of beautiful colours. -
These Recycled Glass Beads are Pure White with a slightly rough finish. The beads are about 10 mm and are size 3. There are about 55 beads strung on string 19" long. These are a pure white. -
A strand of about 51 polished Clear/ White Recyled Glass Beads strung on string 23" long. These beads are size 4 or about 12 mm round. The beads are handmade so will vary in colour, size and shape within the strand. Tet, a Bead Maker in Accra with a very contempory leaning made these beads for Funky Frog. Usually Ghana's recycled beads are quite rough, Tet Beads was the first place Funky Frog found these polished glass beads. Remember these beads are made by hand so each bead is polished individuallly. The polished beads come in 3 sizes and various colours. A strand of whimsical mixed red and white Recycled Glass beads on string 21" long. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens. These beads are made by recycling previously used beads. The beads are melted together in a clay oven to make this beautiful mosaic of colors. -

A Contemporary Bodom style Yellow Glass Bead with a blue swirled teardrop inlay made to look like Old Trade Beads. These were found in the Agboblushi Market in Accra ... the trader said they were from Abijhan, Cote d'Ivoire ... they remind me of fimo beads with a soft smooth feel .. the bead is round but squashed about 13x22 mm with a large almost 3mm hole .. the beads are handcrafted so will vary quite a bit in shape, size and pattern. You will receive on that looks like the beads in the photo. $3/bead -

A strand of 48 blue, brown and white rectangular Sandcast Beads on raffia 28" long. The beads are about 12x7 mm and are soft blue, brown and white layers with a rock like texture. These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the powder into clay molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a wood burning earthen oven. Ghana is famous for this type of bead. -
